In this year’s extended Volunteer’s Week which runs from 1-12 June 2016, Worcestershire County Council has organised an event at The Hive on 9 June 2016.
The purpose of the ‘Act Local’ event is to promote and raise the profile of volunteering across Worcestershire.
We have cancelled our Volunteering Fair at the Guildhall as the events are so close to each other, on the same theme and were both due to take place in Worcester City. As this one is free for exhibitors to attend, we encourage you to book your free place and to nominate volunteers for the different award categories
Hear from a number of guest speakers about what volunteering means to them and discuss how we can encourage and promote volunteering across the county. There will also be a marketplace available for organisations to promote volunteering opportunities, network with other providers and hopefully recruit more volunteers.
The evening will conclude with an awards ceremony to recognise the contributions that volunteers have given and the difference they have made to lives in Worcestershire.
To attend or have a stand, please email your name and contact details to: email@example.com by 5pm on Friday 27 May.
